If that isn’t an automatic curse on Ben, I don’t know what is.

An R5?!? Damn, probably the only good news we get all week.

Other teams go with just 2 QB's, but I'd like to see them at least add Hodges to the PS.

A 5th for Dobbs?!?! Holy shit, that’s fantastic. Now bring back Skipper or Hodges so he can continue to develop

And let's give Colbert some credit again. He probably had offers for Dobbs at the end of preseason, but figured he could do better if he just waited a bit.

NO ONE on this board thought we could do better than a 6th or 7th for Dobbs. And most on this board thought OAK fleeced us on the Bryant and AB trades

One positive news item today. Thanks for the bone, football gods!

Good news.
A 5th.

That is the best news since 8pm last night. This is a positive!

This deal is an absolute steal. Great job Colbert!

Good luck Kordell Dobbs!

And yes.......
Hodges at least to the practice squad.
Get Skipper back on the 53.

Ola should splitting snaps from Dupree.

Skipper should get a shot to be on the field over Chickillo.............at least in a spot fill in roll when Watt comes off.

With Watt banged up a bit...........
Dupree back to the norm,
Chick-invisable

Its a no brainer to me.
Do not add a 3rd QB to the 53 to be an inactive every week. Add to the practice squad

A very good deal for Colbert. Good luck to Dobbs, he seems like a good guy.

1) Sign John Kelly make him a WR and use him for the bubble screen/behind the LOS stuff

2) Please dont sign Hodges. He sucked against anything resembling nfl talent and a 3rd string QB wont help this team.

3) Cut Switzer and/or Chickillo and sign Tuzar Skipper

Who plays qb if both BR and MR get hurt? How many teams carry only two?

There's no point in adding Skipper back, Ola couldn't even get snaps on D in a blowout loss.

Awful draft pick, and I said so at the time, especially when I wanted Kittle there. What a disaster.

Well your season is generally sunk anyway if your #1 and #2 QB's go down. So not many teams carry 3 on their roster.

Does it matter?

We could very well be cannon fodder this year with those two guys healthy. If both go down throw anyone back there. A WR. Benny Snell.

The Switzanator.

it matters not.

But but but we had Jesse James at the time.

Tomlin sucks at roster building. Always has.

He literally spent an offseason thinking Ryan Fucking Switzer should be a key cog in our offense.

And lazy ass Ben believes it too.

The steelers have carried three for as long as I can remember, not counting the 70's, and I can't remember if they carried three then or not. I only remember terry hannraty, whom I hated, Mike Kruczek, and joe gilliam. And after looking it up, they carried three in 1975. I'm not suggesting the #3 is going to do anything, but if nobody in the league carries three, why have the steelers don so since the first super bowl win?

It's a 5th, so let's not get too excited about it. But it's a solid move.

Skipper to roster, Hodges to practice squad, please.

It would at the least be humorous if these bozos had to give up a pick for a guy they already had in camp and let go.

We don’t need a kid on the roster with that kind of speed. Not when we have the ever reliable Ryan Switzer to keep coaches up at night.

This is a miracle. With the way Dobbs looked in preseason, I didn't think we'd get a half eaten bag of chips for him. Excellent move by Colbert.

Now get Skipper back ASAP because Dupree and Chick looked horrendous last night.

They always carry 3 QBs so Hodges will be back and I'm fine with that. I think that kid was better than he showed behind that putrid Oline in the Carolina game.
