I can't believe we haven't re-signed Fort. Surely he won't command much $?

Typical Steeler “we do what we do” signing. Solid player...not a lot of sizzle. It’s a step forward and one has to like it. Hopefully it’s just the beginning.

No chance of happening, and it's not the best fit, but I love Golden Tate's game. Him and Juju on the field? That's two tough SOBs. Add a speedy deep threat to stretch the field along with that and we'd have a damn good group.

But this is a great draft for WRs, deep too. We can get a player in the mid rounds who can make an immediate impact.

As long as he is kept far away from Tomlin or any other defensive coach this could be a good signing.

The thing I really didn't like about Nelson. 5'10, 30" arms. No height or length so if he allows anyone by him they're gone. Not that great in man. Gets grabby and was the 2nd most penalized DB coming out of college when he was drafted in the 3rd round. I hope he 'measures up' once here. I'll be rooting for him.

I really like this signing. I think Nelson has his best football ahead of him. I feel a lot better about CB.

Now, we all know safety is an issue but they believe in Davis and Edmunds. That means we have to fix ILB and OLB.

I'd also like to grab a TE or WR.

Why would he want to come back? Totally unappreciated here. They signed and played a guy off the couch over him, and I doubt he's forgotten.

That said, maybe we found another Haden in the rough?

Nelson was playing as the #1... harder job, but he still acquitted himself pretty well. He was hardly the biggest problem they had.

His stats may improve significantly as the #2 CB on our defense - he won't have the pressure of being a #1

Meanwhile, wtf are the chiefs doing, had a shitty defense last year, lost top corner in free agency, cut justin houston, will prob cut eric berry after signing honey badger, and now traded dee ford to 9ers for a 2nd round pick.

Hill will come but Mahomes will come down the line in a year or two if he continues to play like this.

If they get Brown give him #84 and start calling him AB. Fuck that assclown in Oakland.

Only thing I worry about is we sucked at generating turnovers last year.

How can we change that this year?

Defenses are about turnovers nowadays, for the most part.

Good first step is being within 10 yards the ball.

Seriously. Steelers D has a major problem with getting CB that can cover and giving them assignments to man up on wide outs.

I’m very happy with this signing it just because it means they don’t draft a CB in R1 now. Or R2. Hopefully not R3 either. They should just farm out the entire defense backfield. Would make me feel better

Golden Tate did tweet about the Steelers, so there may be some interest from him at least

Not to worry - he will have 0-1 in our bend and eventually break time wasting defense

Would have liked Tyrell. I want them to sign an adequate receiver so they can focus on defense in the early part of the draft.

Hopefully the Raiders release Jordy Nelson. That's one FA WR I'd like to see in the black and gold.
