He may talk about his injuries a lot, but you know what, he's earned that right. Name another QB who takes as many monster, late, dirty, non-flagged hits as him. It is a fucking miracle the guy is still playing.

Antonio Brown - WR - Steelers
Antonio Brown (concussion) did not practice Wednesday.
It puts Brown in the early stages of the concussion protocol. Coach Mike Tomlin said the team is "hopeful" Brown will play in the Divisional Round, but he's in a race to get cleared. Brown's status will be monitored closely throughout the week.

It's the whole "Pittsburgh tough guy" persona that fans here expect their players to have. Perhaps the greatest baseball player to don a Pirates uniform would describe his injuries in detail to the media. Roberto Clemente was then labeled a crybaby. Same shit.

BEn:
S
teelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said Tuesday that the plan was to take his right shoulder injury “day-by-day” as the team moves closer to Sunday’s game against the Broncos and that he hoped to get some practice time in on Wednesday.
According to the team’s injury report, that didn’t happen. Roethlisberger was listed as out for Wednesday’s session, the first of the week for the Steelers, and told Mark Kaboly of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review that he did not throw at all.
Roethlisberger had plenty of company on the sideline. Wide receiver Antonio Brown did not practice, which suggests he’s still in the early stages of the concussion protocol. He’ll have to be cleared through all stages of it before he’s given the green light to play on Sunday. Running back DeAngelo Williams also remained out and the odds are that he’ll miss another game with the foot/ankle injury he suffered in Week 17.

I would let Ben rest that arm until Saturday.
Hell, maybe even Sunday morning and then see what he's got.

This feels like the Steelers are really playing a game with the Broncos on the injury front.
Dale Lolley already tweeted that they were "playing the injury game" and from what I've seen/heard it certainly appears as if some of these guys who missed practice are barely dinged and were just getting rest but the presence of minor injuries is allowing the Steelers to claim injury.
But we'll see.

Rest BB, AB and DWill, Silverback, Heyward etc as much as possible. How much practice time do they really need at this point of the season anyway? Watch film and get healthy.

Let's hope that they have the nasty ass flu that is going around and infect their whole team.

With Brown, it's possible. Heyward and Harrison I would almost guarantee it's 100% rest and they are fine.
But Ben....not after how he looked after Burfict landed on him. I think that shoulder is definitely pretty fucked up.
...and I do not want to see Landry against those Denver pass rushers. The kid came thru a few times for us this year and I've even stopped calling him Laundry.
But he ain't winning anything for us in Denver. Not this Sunday anyway.

I dunno....hoping Ben just likes injecting some drama into his situation.
http://www.steelersdepot.com/2016/01/re ... t-broncos/At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if neither he nor AB play. Of course, won't be surprised if both of them play.
If Ben can't go, let's hope that taking all the snaps in practice helps Landry Jones play the game of his life.
And....I think the defense steps up big...whips Manning's ass.

I like how quiet it's been. Some might worry too quiet. Steelers are still that X factor team of the playoffs. They could play a painfully shitty half and get blown out. Or they could just cut a fucking swath and leave a trail of debris.

well its great we do have xtra day to get better from injury..i think they all play cept Williams..foot injuries can be a bitch to heal. I think ben will gut it out but concerned how well he can play.. I hope they can inject him to relieve the pain. who was the steeler or was it another qb that got injected for pain and was unable to play from numbness? I remember this but can place names and dates..

For all the optimism of his snapchat video, I'm told Antonio Brown hasn't yet passed through the concussion protocol

How does that work?Does he get tested everyday? If he hasn't passed yet does that mean he's failed previous attempts this week?

He took a baseline test when he was healthy.
He has to match or exceed his baseline results or he can't proceed.
I can't remember what the other steps are, but he has to be signed off by both the team doctor and an independent neurologist.
