Re: Steelers at Patriots: Famous Last Words

The snap counts tell the story of this game. Switzer, Dionte Johnson, and Holton got too many for my liking and Conner, Washington, Rosie and Vance didn't get enough. Switzer is completely useless if he's not going to break tackles. I'm glad he's sure handed, but he isn't dynamic enough. Dionte John...

Seems like an obvious misstep unless the Steelers thought Ola and Tuzar were redundant. Please make a move for either a tight end or another safety.

Re: Positives

I didn’t really mean to call you out JaySteel or Lakecrest. I guess I’m just so underwhelmed by that performance. Trying to find a positive about that game and I feel like e1 played like a bunch of pussies. No problem man. It was such a frustrating night, understandable for everyone to be a little ...

Re: Steelers at Patriots: Famous Last Words

Very well written, I am assuming the flowery prose was designed to help you forget what a shit show that was last night. I am almost resigned to stop watching our Steelers until week 3 as the only time I can remember them being prepared was against Miami in 2006 defending our SB Title. Correct me if...

I dont remember anyone saying Moncrief looked solid this preseason at all. In fact, all i remember anyone saying is that he looked stiff and was dropping passes.

Re: Injury bug week 1

You ever notice in these Pats games somehow a bunch of our guys get hurt but the Pats mostly come out unscathed? In fact, the Pats somehow are rarely bitten by the injury bug. Someone wrote an article saying this is also related to coaching and the conditioning and practicing. Do you guys think this...

And yes....... Hodges at least to the practice squad. Get Skipper back on the 53. Ola should splitting snaps from Dupree. Skipper should get a shot to be on the field over Chickillo.............at least in a spot fill in roll when Watt comes off. With Watt banged up a bit........... Dupree back to ...

Re: Any Tomlin defenders left?

You cannot fire the army, you have to fire the General. Tomlin did not play his starters in Preseason. The development of players is his responsibility, so if Ben is holding us back Tomlin must coach him to the standard. Gameplanning from each area of the fame goes through the head coach. There was ...

Re: No AB...no problem!!

Didnt it seem like last year Ben came in in better shape? Wasnt he on some diet last summer? I thought looked bloated again last night. Wasnt moving nearly as well as last years opener. I'm thinking it might be prudent to usher in the Mason Rudolph era soon. Yeah but just when people start doing th...

Re: No AB...no problem!!

Being without AB is an enormous problem; I’d be shocked if it’s fixable this season. But the AB that played for the Steelers and was an all-world player checked out at the end of last season and you weren’t going to see that version of him again in a Steelers uniform, anymore than the Raiders were g...

Well, Seattle did almost lose at home to the Bengals yesterday. Re: Some easy realistic changes you would make

We came out and tried to play exactly the same way as we did last year. The scheme needs to change. The strength of this offense is in the O-line, Conner, JuJu and Vance. We need to run more heavy sets with Banner or Chuks, Rosie in the backfield, and throw Samuels on the field so we can shift forma...

Re: Any Tomlin defenders left?

I posted this in another thread. Tomlin has to game plan against the best QB who ever lived. Belecheat game plans against Ben. His plan is always the same. Watch who Ben favors and take them out of the game. Ben throws to AB, take away AB. Ben throws to JuJu, take away Juju. Ben isn't up to the tas...

Re: Some easy realistic changes you would make

Why do we always keep players that nobody else would have on their roster? The Chickillos and Heyward Beys of the world. Lee Mays years ago. These guys FINALLY get released and they never get signed by another team and their careers are over. Why do we refuse to go with the younger guys that flash m...

Re: No AB...no problem!!

I have a question. How do they go from beating the Pats last year, and keeping Brady in check, to getting absolutely destroyed a year later. How the hell can a stadium make THAT big of a difference? We have the exact same team, minus AB. If i remember correctly he didnt do shit in that game. We real...

Re: James Washington saw less snaps than Moncrief & Switzer.

Should not be surprised at all that Washington saw less snaps than those 2 if you were watching the preseason. And what i mean by that , is that Tomlin pretty much told you thats what was gonna happen even if we all know its the wrong move.

Re: Any Tomlin defenders left?

But he's a gameday dumbfuck, Jewel...always has been. How do you defend kicking a FG down 20-0, 3Q, from the one fuckin' yard line...against the Patriots, who soon made it 27-3. His idiocy never ceases to amaze me. That was stupidity beyond belief. Right after that, I took off my game day jersey, t...

Re: Just to accentuate how bad our skill players and scheme

In that case, then, my point was that if you defer and you stop the other team, then their punt to you is as if you took the opening kickoff plus you get the kick after the half in which case Tomlin deferring wasn't a problem tonight.

Re: Tomlin is the second best, be thankful

That may be the last time we ever face Brady. We arent making the playoffs, and wont finish 1st so we wont play them next year. Mercifully that might be it. And honestly, i think the damn Bills give them a better game than we did.
