Tomlin’s Health?

Is Tomlin looking healthy? He has gained a good bit of weight and his bulging eyes make me wonder if he is having thyroid problems and/or other issues. He is only 51 but he is looking a good bit older than 51. I, personally, think he should have retired or taken a sabbatical. He looks stressed, tire...

Re: Watt. Blahh. Rappaport says best case scenario is out 2 weeks then if comes back will have a brace

Typical Steelers make the playoffs Watt disappears Truthfully given his career history of not being able to ever get it done in big games it’s probably better to give Herbig a shot and see if he can be a force when it matters These remarks are the most absurd things I have seen. What are you thinki...

Playing with 10 players would be better than Devin Bush.
At least you wouldn’t be expecting something from that spot. You wouldn’t have to go around Bush to make a tackle. Much better to go with 10 players rather than 10 players and one obstacle.

I’ll go with: Roethlisberger Ebron JuJu Washington Banner Haeg Finney Mondeaux Wormley Bush Jr Edmonds That’s a lot of turnover…… Bush is going nowhere. Sadly, you are probably 100% correct. Sticking with mediocrity. If Bush were only mediocre we could live with that! He is the worst STEELER I have...

Mike Tomlin and Derrick Brooks are very close…I think I read very close friends after their time together in Tampa. Derrick Brooks is Devin Bush’s godfather (Bush Sr. and Brooks are best friends). Sooooo…don’t expect Bush to go anywhere anytime soon. Ain’t this swell? Well, now I completely underst...

It also might be a good idea to segregate the various positions so if one should happen to come down with the virus, you don’t lose the whole kicking squad,or running backs, etc. I imagine the kickers and punters have a tendency to hang out together....and even the long snappers. Just another thing ...

Just want to say that I am enjoying the back and forth of this topic. I know politics is normally prohibited but in this time it is vital not to quash these ideas. This thread is about our life and how we are managing. It involves what is being done by politicians that were elected by us to manage t...

FYI. There are 53 players on roster but only 46 can be active on game day. It becomes a chess game to decide how to allocate resources. When a few are injured, decisions are easily made for them. But when all are healthy, somebody has to sit and be inactive. Everybody doesn’t always know all the coc...

It’s amazing to me that people are dogging Rudolph for not being Big Ben after being picked in the (3rd round was it?), and only starting his what, 7th game? Damn, cut the guy some slack and give him time to develop. Some people’s expectations aren’t in tune with reality. The Steelers have already ...

I have new respect for AB! He got out before his career was over. Tomlin et al are too dumb to put together any type of coherent game plan, wise use of personnel and maximize opportunities. This is a shit show. Nothing like giving up your body so that the coach can just look good in his aviators. Ho...

Re: How is This Not an Illegal Contract?

Todd, do you think discussing a question of legality that underpins this questionable tactic of defrauding teams has only to do with football? That there are no overtones that make this permissible and to discuss larger issues, especially after a NFL owner of that questionable team has been recently...

No wonder Robert Kraft and an Individual #1 are close friends! Cheating, collusion, rule of law trashed, fuck the rules, do what you can get away with and destroy the game. It thoroughly disgusts me. There is no rule he won’t break or law he won’t skirt. People are too timid to call either on it. Sh...

Fraud is fraud...whenThe Raiders released him. The Pats could not have signed him and therefore completed the fraud if the Raiders had not released him. The Pats were in on it, I suggest. The NFL should call this tampering and fraud and conspiracy and a few other things. It reaches the level of frau...

Re: AB heading to Oakland

A very unsettling part of this deal is the conspiracy of AB and his agent and maybe the Raiders,to intentional destroy AB’s trade value by his antics so that the team he went to could get a bargain but be able to pay the extra cash to AB. Wink, wink. That seems to me, illegal and manipulative and vi...

Re: AB heading to Oakland

I don’t think this situation will help the locker room. You may have gotten rid of a distraction, but you will be left with a stench that will permeate the team for some years! The players will feel like they are stuck on a team that has been taken advantage of. They will be embarrassed to be part o...

I don’t think he will be traded. Why should teams trade for him when he will be cut eventually? Steelers will cut him just to get rid of him and eat his contract. Stupid Steelers..... I want to add another voice to the Fury discussions this year. I very much enjoy watching the NFL more this year than I have for awhile. It turns out, the guy who is 59 games over .500 in his 11-and-a-half seasons as Steelers coach knows what he’s doing. The Steelers looked bad early in the season, it seemed like another year of drama, and there were fair questions about whether maybe Tomlin’s message had gone stale. m An article ec...

Specious roughing the passer penalties may cause QB injuries

Why bother holding up on the pass rush to avoid a penalty? Just lay the wood! If you are going to be penalized for grazing an ankle, you might as well go full speed at the QB and take the penalty for a truly big hit! This seems to be the message the officials are sending.

The Steelers have a number of receivers who are tall. MACdonald, Jesse James, JuJu..... AB is not and I think Ben is having a harder time making adjustment. Before there were a number of Smurfs. My enthusiasm has been significantly quashed. I have been feeling the officials are being encouraged to keep games close! Officials are throwing lots of flags to hinder a team from going up big time. I don’t think the fix is necessarily in for particular teams, BUT it is in to keep games close, lots...

Anyone else notice Ben just standing by himself on the sidelines ready to go back in? He has no QB coach and TV didn’t show the backups looking at footage with him. They need someone helping Ben out.
