Re: STers
UGIII led the team in special teams snaps IIRC....so, yes, UGIII can do what Red does on teams. AND, I'll add to that. I refuse to believe that Tuzar Skipper was somehow incapable of playing on special teams. i will never, ever buy that. AND, I'll add to that. Does it really matter who your fucking ...

Re: Steelers at Patriots: Famous Last Words
When creating 2 or more Takeaways: 69-12 When creating 1 takeaway: 39-22-1 When creating zero takeaways: 17-33 turnovers/takeaways are ALWAYS a key factor in winning losing, I fully agree. that is a very curious stat you listed. is Tomlin an outlier in that regard? Does he have a greater than usual...

Switzer delivered his role A Nobody thought he should be a featured WR. but, yet, somehow he WAS a featured WR.....against the defending champs...in beantown. someone else called it "3 yards and a cloud of ice cream." if you mean Switzer has perfected the art of the 3 yard reception, then...

Re: Steelers at Patriots: Famous Last Words
we will have to agree to disagree about the defense. The Steelers used in man coverage effectively last year in Pittsburgh. The patriots expected to get a heavy dose of man coverage last night. The Steelers gave the patriots exactly what they expected. A heavy dose of man coverage. What did New Eng...

Probably another Jekyll and Hyde type season. Which again points to coaching, specifically the head coach, who is in over his head, and does nothing to improve himself. But the Rooney’s give this guy an extension??? I hope Seattle puts up 50 and the Steelers put up another 3, kicking the field goal...

I have a question. How do they go from beating the Pats last year, and keeping Brady in check, to getting absolutely destroyed a year later. How the hell can a stadium make THAT big of a difference? We have the exact same team, minus AB. If i remember correctly he didnt do shit in that game. We rea...

No good deed goes unpunished. My second favorite saying after 'Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.' Mine is more like an intermittently working clock. Accordingly, I am hardly ever right about anything. By the way, I thought your references were a bit obscure but I appreciated the attempt at...

I think the copy and paste part of the argument is fair, especially on offense. I think that’s exactly what they did, which is criminal. I would not write that if I did not believe it. I believe it. And I think "criminal" is an apt description of the Steelers offensive and defensive game ...

You know, if you had only added about 25 references to the likes of Rasputin, Thomas Paine, Florence Nightingale, Herbert Henry Asquith and Sylvester the Cat, this analysis would have been above the line with B2B's, if you will. Re: Steelers at Patriots: Famous Last Words
To be fair, earlier in the game there were some 3rd and short situations where they did run and failed to pick up the first down. short yardage was flat out embarrassing. When New England knows what is coming they will stop you. I guess that is the point. When the offense had the opportunity to put...

How many routes do you think Marquise Brown has mastered?? I will wager not many. It did not stop Brown from contributing as a rookie in a big way. I saw other new wide receivers contribute in ways that they could across the NFL yesterday. This team needs meaningful contributions from its wide recei...

Re: Steelers at Patriots: Famous Last Words
That is exactly the kind of stupidity I am talking about. The offense gets into a good position 2nd and 3 but the offense squanders their position by going empty. 3rd and 4? No problem. Just chuck it deep to a fringe roster player in Johnny Holton in what was possibly the lowest percentage pass Ben ...

I know a copy and paste job when I see one and last night’s game plan was a copy and paste job. Pure and simple. They even ran the same damn plays that they ran last season. Did they really think they would fool the patriots twice in a row with the same crap? And, by the way, that applies to both si...

What's Tomlin saying with his bullshit about the Fake Punt?? His defense, which hadn't allowed a score since the first Saints possession of 2nd half, which on three previous possessions had gone 3 & out, 4 & out, blocked a FG....weren't capable of keeping the Saints from driving the length ...

And it has already been written but it’s really not about losing to the saints in the Superdome. It’s getting swept by the west. It’s about not being ready to deal with the browns on opening day. It’s about the incessant penalties. It’s about not knowing what the fuck to do on a free kick. It’s abou...

This one is bad. I was quiet after last week. Not any longer. Talent? Yes. Smarts? No. This team is sloppy undisciplined and overconfident. Let this sink in. Bostic was covering Allen on the most important 3rd down of the game. I texted my dad before that play and said if Allen coverts this bc he i...

Here is my early impression....Tomlin's moronic decision to make Conner carry the ball 35 times cost the team the game. he was very clearly gassed in Q4. that's not a knock on JC. He needed some rest. and a perfectly decent option rotting on the bench. no excuse.

Ridley not getting out of bounds in the 2min drill, though... rookie mistake. I have a feeling Jaylen Samuels is going to get some snaps earlier in the rotation in the next couple of weeks. I'm interested to see if he gets better as camp goes on, or if he wears down. holy shit, I forgot about that....
