Schlereth Calls for Fields to Start
https://steelersdepot.com/2025/01/mark-schlereth-calls-for-justin-fields-to-start-wild-card-game/ I'm not the only one saying it! Russ's 2 minute drill this weekend was so bad he has to be benched. A high school quarterback would be better. Russ is weak, he cant see the field, he bails more frequent...

Re: Start Fields
I think Fields should get packages especially in short yardage and on literally any 4th and 1 he HAS TO be in the game but ridin’ with Russ is the way to go. Russ wasn’t great yesterday but about 8 drops are why the Steelers lost and Pickens not giving a fuck. Russ blew the game with the final 4 pl...

Start Fields
It probably doesn't make a difference, but Russ is the main reason we lost to Baltimore last time. Why not give Fields a shot? It can at least throw a wrench into the Ravens prep. Fields matches up favorably agains them. Now is the time. Let us all bow our heads in prayer that Russ wakes up this wee...

Ben is at least 10 years away from having the free time to coach. Front office is a lot more likely.

Najee looked nice and angry. Defense is overwhelming when the offense can at least just move the chains.
Fields is taking great care of the ball!
Wild card is if Roman Wilson can make a difference....

Fields is the best prospect we have had since Big Ben.
If Tomlin can't develop him, then it might be time to move on. This is a real life preserver after the horrendous reach for Popgun Kenny in 2022.

Tomlin and GM Omar Khan had a meeting last week in Pittsburgh with former Steelers cornerback Cameron Sutton, according to the Post-Gazette’s Gerry Dulac. https://steelersdepot.com/2024/04/dulac-mike-tomlin-omar-khan-had-meeting-with-former-cb-cameron-sutton-last-week/ If we can get him back and sig...

Re: SF Podcast: Steelers Mock Draft War Room Parts 1 & 2
You guys could have nailed this if you would have taken Brian Thomas then grabbed a tackle at 98. They cancelled out RB when they signed Patterson, and Najee's 5th year option is actually a decent value in context of the RB contracts that went out this year. Love Frazier, and Sainristril. David Whi...

With all of the holes you just mentioned, I dont know how mortgaging two drafts for a skinny QB helps us. That kid will get killed and we wont be able to build the talent around him fast enough.

God I should hate public bickering, but I hate Pickens so much at this point that I love seeing this: https://www.si.com/nfl/2023/12/20/steelers-jaylen-warren-george-pickens-blocking-fail When asked about Pickens not blocking for him for fear of injury. “It is what it is,” Warren said, per Ray Fitti...

Re: Who To Keep For The Rebuild?
My rules for a rebuild are basically: 1. Trade or cut everyone who is over the age of 29 and or is overpriced, although you get to keep 1 guy (or maybe 2 if they're superstars) who are cheap or a HOFer and not going to be washed up before the end of 2025 season. 2. Guarantee no starting job to anyo...

Re: Welp that’s probably it for this year without a lot of help
The Steelers need serious help at C T and G The dont have a single WR on the roster who has a championship quality mindset They desperately need a 3rd quality RB They have the worst starting QB in the nfl and by far the worst QB unit as a whole in the nfl On defense they have exactly 1 DL who might...

JV Kenny - How much will Khan Allow?
The weak throws are hard enough to watch. The stupid spin to the left to roll right into pressure is even harder. The general panic at the sight of ghosts in the pocket is killing us. But to top it all off the fragility is even worse, and it will exacerbate all of the above. He cant break tackles an...

What a Modern Offense Looks Like
I ask that everyone watch this breakdown of Mike McDaniel and Sean McVay's schemes and ask ourselves not, "are we behind?" Of course we all know that painfully well. Ask, WHAT YOUNG POSITION COACHES ARE OUT THERE THAT WE CAN POACH TO IMPLEMENT THESE CONCEPTS? https://youtu.be/sQZTx9TPvDg?si=-uAFLavY...

If you are going to be serious about being a power running team you really do need more at RB3 than McFarland. At this point we know what he is and it isn't very impressive. Could the Benny Snell we saw for a brief period of time late last season be that guy? Perhaps, except that we've seen enough ...

Re: The RB room
Najee Harris carries himself like he's Gale Sayers. You'd think from the way he acts and is treated that he was some All Pro. His cockiness is so unwarranted. On most teams he'd be on the bench and if there was a true competition Jaylen Warren would be the #1 back on this team. But hey, the goal of...

Re: PFF: Najee 19th best RB in the league
He is ranked way too low. His power and blocking ability are not getting any respect. And everyone says he’s indecisive and not explosive when there is no way to even know with all the penetration and disruption he dealt with play in and play out. He is top 10 with more gas in the tank than JT, Ekel...

Re: 3 93 Darnell Washington TE
This pick is awesome. I had to give some history lessons to some younger Steeler fans about former big TEs that we have had over the years. This pick of Washington makes me think of that time in the early 90's, think Barry Foster running rampant, when we had two kingsized TEs. You had Adrian Cooper...

Safety is probably set unfortunately even though the Neal/Kazee combo is injury prone. They are gonna count on Tre Norwood as the glue guy. Tomlin loves him. The four safeties on the roster are the four safeties on the roster for better or worse. EDGE still needs a guy. Herbig will make a fine 3rd b...

Pickett is weak
That LB picked him up and slammed him like he was a toddler.
He will keep getting hit like that and taking himself out of the game because he is too small and too soft
Move on
